The WEST range is suitable for both workshop and outdoor use and is ideal for maintenance work in civil, agricultural, and light carpentry applications.
The welding quality and performance are top-notch for its segment.
All models feature precise and professional control, ensuring excellent ignition properties and stable arc performance in any welding position.
WEST 160 model delivers 160 Amps in direct current for welding with electrodes ranging from 1.6 to 4.0mm in diameter.
It is compatible with rutile and basic electrodes and can weld various metals, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, etc.
The power supply voltage is single-phase at 230 Volts, and thanks to its low energy consumption, it can be used with reduced installed power. WEST 160 is very easy to use with a single control knob and welding assistance systems:
Hot Start: Provides additional amps for the first few seconds during arc ignition, helping to reach the right temperature for the weld pool.
Arc Force: Reduces the risk of sticking the electrode to the workpiece.
Anti-sticking: If the electrode sticks to the workpiece, the welding current is reduced to a few amps, making it easier to detach the electrode.
TIG LIFT welding using a torch with a tap to control the shielding gas, allows minute work on small thickness mild steel and stainless steel sheets.
In TIG welding with LIFT arc striking, the tungsten electrode is placed on the work surface and slowly lifted to ignite the welding arc. This technique uses a low-intensity current to protect the electrode, while the welding machine gradually increases the amperage for a high-quality weld. The Slope down function with fixed parameter is integrated into the TIG welding process. Standard equipment: Generator only.
