The SIL 417 GEN delivers 170 Amps in direct current for welding electrodes from 1.6 to 4.0 mm in diameter. Welds with rutile and basic coated electrodes on various metals: steel, stainless steel, cast iron, etc.
With the special torch it allows you to weld in TIG mode with "scratch" arc ignition.
Equipment: welding cables, ground clamp, electrode holder and carrying case.
The SIL line welding power sources are compact and easy to handle, ideal for small maintenance jobs. A reliable and durable product, designed and manufactured with care at San Marino factories.
The SIL 417 GEN is equipped with special input protections that allow to maintain adequate welding performance even in the event of a non-optimal power supply. This feature is particularly useful for those who often work by connecting to motorcycle generators (see the characteristics table).
The SIL 417 GEN is easy to use thanks to the welding aid systems:
- Hot Start: facilitates arc striking.
- Arc Force: helps prevent electrode from sticking to workpiece by temporarily increasing the current when the electric arc becomes too short.
- Anti-sticking: allows you to easily detach the electrode if it remains glued to the piece.
